The first monobrand address for the RBC group
RBC opened in 2019 with Poliform, its Lyon flagship, in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon, in a space of 500 m².
This new space, a former resort of the furniture brand GRANGE, has been completely redesigned in association with the Poliform group, a major Italian design brand born in 1970.
This second address in Lyon, totally unique compared to the offer of the original showroom located in Confluence, within Cube Orange, is dedicated to the house, with a certain idea of luxury and is aimed at private clients. The Italian architect Davide Bartesaghi was chosen to design this new showroom in which the accessories change with the seasons. Poliform and RBC were able to find perfect harmony within the store by presenting works by Marcel Wanders, Emmanuel Gallina and Jean-Marie Massaud: three very different styles that go together perfectly.
Ideally located in the historic heart of Lyon, just a few steps from Place Bellecour, this “new generation” space is an opportunity for RBC to offer the general public a different way of experiencing design:
- a totally innovative space that allows clients to project themselves into a real home universe, around furniture solutions for all the rooms of the house: dressing room, kitchen, living room…
- an accessory that changes with the seasons and where all items are for sale to meet new consumer trends: small objects, lighting, beautiful books, tableware…
- a sustained cultural program: exhibitions, conferences, meetings and culinary events.
Poliform Lyon, a new generation showroom
Located in the heart of Lyon’s peninsula, an essential shopping district, the new Poliform showroom takes place in a sumptuous 18th-century listed building where Burgundy stone, vaulted spaces and old woodwork mingle.
Respecting the original building, Poliform and its Project department have brought comfort, space, functionality and modernity to stage through dedicated rooms, living room furniture, kitchens, day storage systems and dressing rooms.
Through an exceptional staging imagined in collaboration with RBC and Poliform, the visitor is invited to stroll through a real apartment: bedroom, kitchen, living room, dining room… to help them with their projects.
A luxurious space: designed as a veritable showcase for the Poliform collections, the showroom gives pride of place to natural materials, evoking the universe of the Italian brand and affirming a certain vision of contemporary luxury.
In addition to this, a cultural programme is held. We are talking here about exhibitions, meetings, events or even conferences. This has the effect of humanising the place giving it an ever more attractive appearance.
“It’s a certain vision of luxury that is told here in a slightly different way, assumed high-end, but without arrogance”, says François Basilien, deputy director of the RBC group. He adds, “We are showing everything we are capable of doing, with a range of complementary accessories such as tableware from Eva Solo, lights from CTO Lighting, Bomma or Venetian glassware. “.
Following on the success of this collaboration, RBC wanted to move closer to the city centre and to the people from Lyon to offer them a new experience.
